Ingredients

Recipe
3 Tbsp
BeeMaid Honey
6 Tbsp
Unsalted Butter
2 Tbsp
Salt
1 Tbsp
Louisiana Hot Sauce
2 Tbsp
Chopped Chives
680 g
Golden or Red Baby Potatoes

Directions

  1. Rinse your potatoes and place in a large pot with enough water to cover the potatoes by 1 inch. Stir 1 Tbsp of salt into the water and bring to a boil on high heat.
  2. Once the water is boiling, reduce heat and let potatoes simmer for 15-20 minutes until tender. Once ready, drain the potatoes and set aside in a bowl. While they boil, preheat your oven to 450F and prep a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. After they’ve had time to cool, place the boiled potatoes on the parchment paper. Using a lighly greased mug, gently press down on each one to give them the “smashed” appearance (approximatley 3/4 of an inch thick). Top with the remaining salt.
  4. In the microwave, add the butter to a bowl and heat until fully melted. Stir in the hot sauce and BeeMaid Honey until smooth. Once mixed, pour some of the hot honey butter mixture onto the potatoes, using a brush to lightly coat each side. Reserve some of the sauce for later.
  5. Place the baking sheet with the coated potatoes in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown, then flip with a spatula and cook for another 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and brush with the remaining hot honey butter sauce. Sprinkle with chopped chives before serving.
