If you’re looking for a savory-sweet treat, these Honey and Thyme Buttermilk Biscuits are just what you need. Infused with the delicate sweetness of BeeMaid Honey and the earthy aroma of fresh thyme, these biscuits are perfectly golden on the outside and soft, fluffy on the inside. The buttermilk gives them a rich, tender crumb, while the subtle balance of sweet and savory makes them incredibly versatile. Serve them warm with a pat of butter, alongside soups or roasted dishes, or enjoy them as a stand-alone snack.

Ingredients

Recipe
3 Tbsp
BeeMaid Honey
2
Eggs
3/4 Cup
Buttermilk
2 3/4 Cups
All Purpose Flour
1 Tbsp
Baking Powder
1/2 Cup
Unsalted Butter
1 Cup
Cheddar Cheese (Grated)
2 Tbsp
Dried Thyme
2 Tbsp
Pickled Jalapeño Peppers

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 400F.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
3. To a small mixing bowl, combine the eggs and buttermilk.
4. To a large mixing bowl, add the flour, (1/2 tsp xanthan gum if using gluten free flour) and baking powder. Stir until combined. Add the cold butter to the bowl and using a pastry cutter or blender, cut the cold butter until it’s the size of small peas.
5. Add the egg mixture to the dough mixture with the BeeMaid Honey and add-ins and stir till combined.
6.Turn the mixture out on a floured surface and knead briefly to form a ball of dough. Gently pat the dough out to be 1 inch thick. Fold the dough over and pat the dough out to be 1 inch thick again. Repeat twice more.
7. Cut the pastry into 8 even pieces and place onto the lined parchment paper. Brush the top of each with melted butter.
8. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and serve once cooled.
