Ingredients

Recipe
2 Sheets
Puff Pastry Dough (thawed)
4 Tbsp
BeeMaid Honey
3 Tbsp
Grainy Mustard
1 Small Bunch
Asparagus (ends trimmed short)
1 Tbsp
Olive Oil
1/2 Tsp
Salt and Pepper
4 oz
Prosciutto
4 oz
Gouda or Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
1
Egg
1 Tbsp
Everything Bagel Seasoning
Garnish:
Drizzle of BeeMaid Honey

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2.  In a large bowl toss the asparagus, olive oil, salt and pepper and 1 Tbsp of BeeMaid Honey. Set aside.
  3. In a separate small bowl, mix together the grainy mustard and remaining BeeMaid Honey until combined.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry dough sheets with a rolling pin and cut into equal sized squares (approx. 8)
  5. Transfer the dough squares to a large lined baking sheet.
  6. Add a spoonful of the honey mustard to the centre of each pastry square and then layer a piece of the prosciutto on top, followed by 4-5 asparagus pieces per square.
  7. Top the asparagus with cheese. Fold the edges of the puff pastry squares diagonally, wrapping the edges around the asparagus. Push down lightly on the dough to secure it in place.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk the egg. Brush the egg wash on top of the wrapped puff pastries and sprinkle liberally with everything bagel seasoning.
  9. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes until the edges of the pastry are crisp and golden brown.
  10. Serve warm with an additional drizzle of BeeMaid Honey on top.
