Supporting BeeMaid Honey Means Supporting Local Producers

Bee Maid Honey is owned and operated by two co-operatives: the Manitoba Cooperative Honey Producers (MCHP) and the Alberta Honey Producers Co-operative (AHPC). Our membership is made up of over 300 beekeepers across Western Canada, each one deeply committed to their bees, their craft, and the land they call home.

Their impact goes far beyond their hives – supporting local agriculture, sustaining our ecosystems, and playing a vital role in pollination. Our co-operatives are dedicated to uplifting local producers and preserving the time-honoured art of beekeeping.

When you choose BeeMaid Honey, you’re helping family-run apiaries thrive, and keeping the future of Canadian beekeeping strong.

Empowering Beekeepers Through Cooperation and Community

Our co-op members have a collective stake in our business and an equal voice in shaping its future. This sense of ownership, belonging, and accountability empowers individuals and ensures local Canadian honey producers always have a seat at the decision-making table. Together, we build a stronger, more connected community that supports quality, sustainability, and shared success.

We’re always looking to grow our hive. If you're passionate about beekeeping and are interested in being part of the Bee Maid family, we invite you to apply for membership through the Manitoba Cooperative Honey Producers or the Alberta Honey Producers Co-operative.

To be eligible for membership you must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, live in Western Canada, and produce at least 5000 pounds of CFIA certified honey annually.
