Bee Industry Associations & Causes
Bees are important to our members’ livelihood and to Canadian agriculture. Because of this, we are active members of the Canadian Honey Council and the National Honey Board. We also support bee-related causes such as the Canadian Bee Research Fund.
Locally, in our own communities, employees of BeeMaid Honey organize events, fundraisers and 50/50 draws to support causes that are important to them.
Bee Maid Honey Scholarship
Since 2004, the Bee Maid Honey Scholarship has helped the children and grandchildren of our members and staff pursue post-secondary education. Each year, we award two scholarships to recognize academic excellence and support students in reaching their goals. We’re proud to invest in the next generation of leaders within our co-operative family.
Applications for the Bee Maid Honey Scholarship are now open. (Application and essay due February 15, 2026).
Bee Maid Honey Annual Research Grant
We’re also committed to the health and future of Canadian beekeeping through the Bee Maid Honey Research Fund. Each year, we issue an open call for research proposals through the Bee Maid Honey Research Fund, inviting universities, beekeeping associations, and agricultural organizations to apply. This initiative supports vital Canadian research in apiculture, hive health, and honey production — advancing knowledge that benefits beekeepers and strengthens our industry.
Applications for the Annual Research Grant are now open. (Applications due February 16, 2026).
