Alberta Honey Producers Co-operative Limited (AHPC) is one of the two proud cooperatives that own Bee Maid Honey Limited. AHPC represents over 150 dedicated beekeepers across Alberta. Together, we care for our honeybees and harvest pure, delicious honey that’s enjoyed in households across Canada and beyond. Bee Maid not only produces premium honey but also operates retail outlets in Spruce Grove, Winnipeg, and Tisdale.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bee Supplies Manager to lead operations at our Spruce Grove Bee Supplies store. In this role, you will oversee retail operations, inventory management, staff leadership, customer relations, and profitability – all while ensuring exceptional service to our beekeeping members and customers.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead all daily store and warehouse operations, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and customer‑focused retail experience.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and schedule Bee Supplies staff to maintain high service and productivity levels.
  • Manage inventory planning, purchasing, pricing, cycle counts, supplier communication, and stock replenishment.
  • Oversee shipping and receiving, import/export documentation, and accuracy of all incoming/outgoing orders.
  • Support sales growth through merchandising, marketing initiatives, and proactive product knowledge development.
  • Work closely with customers – both in‑store and off‑site – to maintain strong relationships and provide exceptional support.
  • Participate in industry meetings, educational events, and beekeeping association activities to stay informed on trends.
  • Process customer orders, invoicing, payments, and assist with general warehouse and retail tasks as required.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe store and warehouse environments.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of retail management experience (required) with proven leadership and team‑development skills.
  • Strong communication, customer service, planning, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
  • Experience with inventory management, purchasing, and operational processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with POS systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the honey industry or beekeeping is an advantage but not required.
  • Ability to operate a forklift (training available if needed).
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast‑paced environment requiring adaptability to shifting priorities.
  • Combination of office, retail, and warehouse work, including moderate lifting.
  • Some travel to meetings, industry events, and customer locations.
  • Occasional extended or flexible hours based on operational needs.
