Honey Mulled Wine

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle 
    Dry Red Wine (Ex. Pino Noir)
  • 3/4 cup 
    BeeMaid Honey
  • 3/4 cup 
    Water
  • 15 
    Whole Black Peppercorns
  • Medium Lemon or Orange (Sliced)
  • 2-3 
    Large Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1-2 
    Star Anise

Directions

1. In a large saucepan or dutch oven, combine the water, wine, BeeMaid Honey, cinnamon sticks, star anise, peppercorns and a few slices of lemon. 

2. Warm over medium low heat until lightly simmering. Continue to let simmer for 3-5 minutes and stir occassionally to allow the cinnamon and star annise to absorb into the wine. 

3. Remove from heat and serve in glasses or copper mugs using a ladle (or strain and pour into a large serving pitcher). Garnish the mulled wine with additional cinnamon sticks, lemon slices, cranberries or rosemary sprigs. Enjoy!
