Maple Walnut Cake

1 cup Butter
1 ½ Cups Bee Maid Liquid Honey
4 eggs (separated)
3 tsp. Maple flavouring
3 cups Whole wheat flour (or 3 ½ cups white flour)
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Soda
2 tsp. Baking powder
1 cup Milk
1 cup Chopped walnuts


Cream butter, add honey. Beat egg yolks until light and add to butter mixture. Add flavouring and beat well. Add flour, salt, soda and baking powder alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Fold in walnuts and stiffly beaten egg whites.

Bake in greased 12 inch layer pan at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) for 30-40 minutes. Makes a lovely cake for special occasions.
