Applesauce Cookies

1 cup Bee Maid Liquid Honey
½ cup Shortening, softened
2 eggs, Beaten
1 cup Applesauce
2 ½ Cups all-purpose flour
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Baking powder
1 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Cinnamon
½ tsp. Vanilla
1 cup Raisins
1 cup Chopped nuts


In a large bowl, cream honey and shortening. Add eggs and applesauce. Sift together flour, salt, bakiing powder, baking soda and cinnamon. Add to honey mixture, blending well. Stir in vanilla; fold in raisins and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Flatten with fork dipped in cold water. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) for 10-12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
